Short Biographies

 

The members of the Trio Dionysos are playing together since 2005 and are both based in Montpellier -France. 

Michel RAYNIÉ is born in France in 1957. He won first prize for flute and for chamber music at the Avignon Conservatory, then continued his musical studies under Ida RIBERA in Paris.

In 1982, he became a member of the Toulouse Orchestre National du Capitole, joining the Orchestre National Philharmonique de Montpellier as solo flautist in 1983.

In addition to his orchestral activities, he has also taken part in various competitions. In 1983 he was awarded the Special Prize for Interpretations of French Music in the Maria Canals International Competition and the PHILIP MORRIS Prize in the Paris International Chamber Music Competition in which he also won the Premier Grand Prix two years later with the Jean-Marie Leclair Quartet..

Michel RAYNIÉ has been a guest soloist with the Orchestre National de France and the Cannes Midem and frequently appears in recitals and chamber music performances both in France and abroad (Great Britain, Germany, Portugal and Central America). He makes regular appearances as a soloist with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Montpellier and has performed with a number of internationally renowned artists such as Fabio Biondi, Raphaël Oleg and Alexandre Paley in repertoire ranging from J.S. Bach to A. Jolivet. He frequently participates in radio broadcasts with France Musique during the Festival Radio France and Montpellier.

He has been teaching Chamber Music since 1995 in the Music Departement of the Paul VALERY University of Montpellier.
